Made of real sea glass from Puerto Rico using stained glass techniques, this piece is completely handmade and singularly unique. Inspired by an obsession with sea glass and a love of concentric circles, Gathering Bubbles was born.

The sea glass used is very old, likely tumbled over a century by the salt water and waves. It is soft and textured, and it captures light while bouncing it back out to the eye. It's magnificent and rare in this quantity.

Each piece of seaglass used to create this wall hanging was selected specifically for its shape, thickness, color, and size. Copper foil was painstakingly wrapped around each piece, cut to length, and smoothed over for a tight fit. The process for laying out the circle followed and I was conscience of be unconcience about the shapes that settled into each round.

The circles with thier many bubbles of sea glass were soldered individually, cleaned, dried, and assembled with sturdy chain.

This piece can be hung against a white wall for best viewing or from a ceiling to twist and turn at will. Best to keep this out of reach of children and pets. It is surprisingly strong and delicate at the same time.
